Lucid Dream Girl

When our eyes first met, I told her she looked familiar. An eager smile stretched the smooth skin on her cheeks as she nodded.

“Yes,” she joyfully responded, sniffling away threatening tears. Her eyebrows were raised, and I could tell she had been waiting for this moment for quite some time.

Motioning me over with a twitch of her fingers, she extended her arms inviting me between them. I stepped forward and she slowly, tenderly squeezed our bodies together, closing in around my torso and shoulders. A surprising torrent of energy cascaded throughout my extremities. When we hugged, I knew I belonged nowhere else. My eyes began to fill from the euphoric sensation I was experiencing. I never wanted to let go. Her embrace felt like the missing piece that completed the puzzle to my soul.
